Our last senior session for this year was a few days ago. It was getting chilly out but still tolerable, outdoor senior pictures in the Iowa City area and the midwest slow way down during the winter months. The last senior of the season is always bittersweet for me. On one hand, I’m exhausted from the chronic busy state of the season, on the other, I’m sad it’s the last one for awhile. Technically we are still shooting. I do monthly challenge shoots and invite my seniors to come model for me. These challenge shoots are meant to stretch and grow me as a photographer but also give me an opportunity to let my seniors collaborate and stretch their creativity too. In January the senior consults start up again and my next year fills up fast and lends the excitement of planning and prepping for senior pictures. This week I have shoots for Barely by Ivy so I will still be behind my camera enjoying some shoot time!
I have a couple of pictures from my last senior session below. We went out to Kent Park and found some beautiful textures. I only have a couple to share today but stay tuned for more. Be sure and watch instagram, facebook, twitter and snapchat { ivySEEN } as I share over there before I do here.
Taylor’s style is totally my style. I loved all her outfits and was so impressed by her ease in front of the camera. She made my job easy and we had a blast with her mom. xox
